Our EV programme, which commenced in 2016, is part of our effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by transitioning from diesel to zero emission battery electric trucks. We currently have 27 fully electric trucks operating on the road and a number in build.
Waste Management’s subscription service will provide you with a monthly report outlining your carbon data for waste. It’s independently verified by Toitū Envirocare and suitable for use in an ISO 14064 1:2018 compliant inventory, including a Toitū carbonreduce or Toitū carbonzero certified inventory.
We facilitate the recycling of spent oil filters out of workshops and garages. The Oil filters are hydraulically crushed into blocks of steel for metal recycling and the recovered oil is sent to the WM New Zealand Oil Recovery team in Tauranga.
