Last night our team attended the 4th annual Brake Fleet Awards, where we were finalists in the Company Driver Safety, Road Safety in the Community and Sustainable Journeys categories.
Our team were thrilled to be acknowledged for our work in the road risk management field, winning the new Sustainable Journeys award and receiving highly commended in the Road Safety in the Community category – sponsored by Bridgestone.
Our Sustainable Journeys award recognised our long term investment in the Electric Vehicle (EV) space, not only through our carbon footprint reduction and contribution to a decrease of global emissions, but the safety benefits associated with EVs.
Our Road Safety in the Community award focused on our partnership with Share The Road, a campaign funded by NZTA and run by the Cycling Action Network, where we encourage our team to understand one another on our roads through driver-cyclist workshops. We thank these partners and look forward to continuing this fantastic programme.
Run by road safety charity Brake, these annual awards invited safety conscious organisations from New Zealand and Australia to enter. The awards recognise the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of road incidents involving at-work drivers. They celebrate and share best practice in managing road risk.
Congratulations to all other finalists and winners from the night, it was great to see the achievements of those working to help reduce the number of incidents on our roads.
