They received presentations from our Executive Leadership Team and division heads, gaining valuable insights into WM New Zealand and the waste industry before heading to their respective branches across Aotearoa this week.

First Impressions from Our Graduates

Harry, who will be working in Finance, said, “My favourite site was Redvale Landfill because it gave me a new perspective. It was also beneficial to meet so many people from different teams before stepping into my role.”

Clark, a graduate of the University of Canterbury with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Honours degree, is eager to apply his skills: “I'm excited for the opportunities my qualification will bring—the different places I can go and the people I will meet.”

Vivienne, who holds a degree in industrial chemistry, discovered WM New Zealand through a recommendation from an industry contact. As she prepares to join the Technical Services team in Auckland, she shares, “I was very lucky to find this opportunity and am looking forward to exploring the waste industry even more.”

Harry sums up the experience best: “It’s great to see how much people enjoy working at WM New Zealand—what an amazing thing to learn in my first week!”

A big thank you to Craig, Michelle, and the Talent Acquisition Team for bringing such skilled individuals into the WM New Zealand team.

Special thanks to Janis Lo for the story and photos.
