We’re excited to announce the arrival of a new addition to our Christchurch fleet—a state-of-the-art 10,000L Class 6, 8, 9 dangerous goods liquid vacuum tanker. Senior Project Engineer Robbie Peris has captured some stunning scenic shots of the tanker on its journey to Christchurch TS, showcasing its impressive design.
This advanced tanker is equipped to handle a range of dangerous goods, including Class 6 (infectious substances), Class 8 (corrosive substances), and Class 9 (miscellaneous dangerous goods). Its primary role will be to transport these substances safely for treatment at our Christchurch facility.
One of the standout features of this tanker is the boom on top of the vehicle. The boom swivels, allowing for easy and safe access to areas like drain holes without needing extra piping. This innovative feature enhances the efficiency and safety of operations.
Robbie recently visited Christchurch to train the TS Christchurch team on the new truck’s features, ensuring everyone is fully equipped to operate it effectively.
Regional Manager Rupinder Brar highlighted the significance of this new addition. “The boom-equipped vacuum tanker is a fantastic enhancement to our fleet. Previously, we had to subcontract out specialist work requiring a boom. This new tanker will be invaluable for servicing major clients like Lyttleton Port.”
We’re thrilled with this new addition to our fleet and look forward to the enhanced capabilities it brings. A big thank you to Robbie Peris and Rupinder Brar for their updates and efforts in bringing this new tanker into service.
