WM New Zealand is proud to be a registered partner with Tyrewise – New Zealand’s first regulated tyre product stewardship scheme. We provide end-to-end tyre collection and recycling services, helping you meet your environmental goals while keeping tyres out of landfill. We collect both pneumatic (air-filled) and solid tyres from:
We collect tyres from standard road vehicles including cars, trucks, and buses.
We accept tyres from motorcycles, scooters, and both light and heavy trailers.
Tyres from off-road vehicles such as quad bikes, construction equipment, and 4WDs are included.
We collect tyres from a wide range of farm and agricultural machinery, including tractors and harvesters.
Tyrewise is leading the way in responsible tyre disposal. They can track tyres through a network of registered participants, prevent illegal dumping, and support comprehensive tyre recycling across Aotearoa.
We collect used tyres from across the North Island, with some transported from the South Island.
Tyres are taken to our dedicated recycling facility in Wiri, Auckland.
At our plant, tyres are shredded into chips for use as Tyre Derived Fuel (TDF) – a high-energy alternative to coal.
