We collect tyres from standard road vehicles including cars, trucks, and buses.
We accept tyres from motorcycles, scooters, and both light and heavy trailers.
Tyres from off-road vehicles such as quad bikes, construction equipment, and 4WDs are included.
We collect tyres from a wide range of farm and agricultural machinery, including tractors and harvesters.
Tyrewise is leading the way in responsible tyre disposal. They can track tyres through a network of registered participants, prevent illegal dumping, and support comprehensive tyre recycling across Aotearoa.
We collect used tyres from across the North Island, with some transported from the South Island.
Tyres are taken to our dedicated recycling facility in Wiri, Auckland.
At our plant, tyres are shredded into chips for use as Tyre Derived Fuel (TDF) – a high-energy alternative to coal.
Achieving sustainability and environmental goals can be challenging. Responsibly recycling end-of-life tyres will help you achieve your goals and help protect New Zealand’s beautiful environment.
WM New Zealand has the credibility and expertise you can trust to collect and recycle your end-of-life tyres responsibly.
Every year, New Zealanders discard over 6.5 million tyres.
Recycled tyres are repurposed into tyre-derived fuel for cement production, matting for playgrounds, arenas, and sports grounds, and rubber for research in road construction and earthquake-resilient housing foundations.
